Why did Astro Gold move to a subscription model?
After more than a decade of offering Astro Gold iOS as a one-time purchase, we’re updating our model to ensure we can continue maintaining, improving, and supporting the app into the future.
When did the new pricing take effect?
The new pricing model was introduced with the upcoming v9.0 release. We’ll announce the exact date shortly.
Will pre-existing users have to pay for a subscription?
No. If you’ve already purchased Astro Gold iOS prior to version 9.0, you will keep access to all current Gold Level features for life — no subscription required.
What features will be included in the free version?
The free version will allow you to:
- Create natal and transit charts
- View interpretations
- Use bi- and tri-wheel charts (up to 3 selected charts)
What are the new subscription options?
To access all Gold Level features (including Astrolocality Mapping), users can choose:
- A one-time 7-day free trial
- US$7.99/month subscription (auto-renewing)
- US$39.99/year subscription (auto-renewing)
- US$69.99 (Lifetime Unlock)
What about Astrolocality Mapping?
If you purchase Astro Gold before v9.0, all features except Astrolocality Mapping are included for life. You can unlock Astrolocality Mapping as a separate lifetime add-on for US$24.99.
